She has dropped out of school 3 times, is back enrolled part time.  She only works one day a week.  My parents pay her tuition, rent, groceries, insurance, gas, etc.  Before all her bizarre behavior they paid for her to do a semester at sea.  She just went on a 5 year reunion trip.  She has gone on at least 3 other reunion trips on the ship.  When she mentioned something about it to me, I said I didn’t know she had gone on a trip.  She said she didn’t talk about it because she got the feeling my parents weren’t happy she was going.  “But it is really important to her.”

My parents can’t afford to go on their own vacations.

My dad is going to start taking the bus to work, because they can’t afford the gas anymore (and yes, I realize this a benefit for the environment).

The point is, she has done nothing to earn these vacations, and this isn’t the first time she’s gone out of the country while working only part-time and not even going to school while my parents paid all her bills.

I’d really wish they’d put their foot down about some things, but I think they are really scared because of all the things that have happened in the past.
